Docs on how to translate metasfresh?

Hello everyone,
I’m new to metasfresh; I’m currently looking to translate it into Chinese. Just wondering if you guys documented on how’s the other translations (such as English) done currently.

Hi Sean,

currently we dont have a documentation how to do it.

In principle there are two ways:

  1. translate via the backend by changing the application dictionary
  2. translate via SQL statement produces by a sheet

We plan to provide export into translation file that can be loaded into a translation tool.

thanks for the reply sounds like it is not an easy task:slight_smile: then.
I just quickly looked into the code base, as I’m very new to the system forgive me if I’m not asking the right question
1. translate via the backend by changing the application dictionary
do you mean the sql script creation containing the like of following insert statement
under the de.metas.ui.web.base/src/main/sql/postgresql/system/41-de.metas.ui.web.base/ folder?
INSERT INTO AD_Message
INSERT INTO AD_Message_Trl

if so I’m just wondering how are these sql files being consumed by the system? any particular rule to create them?
